Poderosas Shine at Latinapalooza 2026

The all-female Latinapalooza showcase returned to Austin during South by Southwest, bringing together a dynamic lineup of artists performing everything from rock to mariachi.

Latinapalooza celebrated nine years of amplifying Latina artists during South by Southwest. Photographer Mari G. Hernandez captured the vibrant spirit of the special showcase at The Continental Club Thursday night. Organized by Patricia Vonne, the annual showcase creates space for women in music amid the fast pace of the festival.

This year’s all-female lineup highlighted the depth and range of Latina and Latine artistry, featuring performances by Shanik Hughes, Lolita Lynne, Ana Barajas, Mariachi Las Coronelas, The Tiarras, and Vonne herself. From mariachi roots to bilingual rock, Latinapalooza celebrates the many sounds shaping our comunidad’s musical landscape while uplifting women artists on one of Austin’s legendary stages.
