Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance presents “Celebrando 2014”

Tonight the Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance (PRFDance) of Austin will present their annual “Celebrando” event at The Jewish Community Center of Austin. This year’s celebration brings ancestral Bomba traditions to Austin with Bomba Elder & Master and LP artist Jorge Emmanuelli Náter — and members of his group — who will join PRFDance for a joint performance.

Celebrando 2014 will also feature live salsa from Orquesta Trabuko, performances by the PRFD performing arts students, and comida criolla (food for sale) by Chago’s Caribbean Cuisine. Artisans from Texas and beyond will be presenting their original creations.

The Jewish Community Center of Austin (JCC) campus is located at 7300 Hart Lane. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are only available at the door. Adult tickets are $18.00 at the door. Child tickets (ages 3-12) are $7.00. Children 2 and under are FREE. Visit the Facebook event page here.
