Preview: The Serie Project Quinceañera at Mexic-Arte
As a special focus of current exhibit Creando Fuerza, The Serie Project’s Quinceañera exhibition features the 15th annual series of prints. The exhibition includes Coming of Age, a mixed media installation dress created by Austin artist Sandra Fernández.
Mexic-Arte Museum is the official archive of the Serie Print Collection, containing over 200 prints. Serie Quinceañera artists include René Arceo, Candace Briceño, Rolando Briseño, Sam Coronado, Gaspar Enriquez, Sandra Fernández, Quintin Gonzalez, Ester Hernández, Sandria Hu, Benito Huerta, Alma López, Delilah Montoya, Maceo Montoya, Celia Muñoz, Angel Rodríguez-Diaz, and Liliana Wilson-Grez. Here is a sampling of what you can see from this amazing exhibition which runs through Feb. 8, 2009.
