Bachaco’s “Cumbia Pa’ La Nena” featured on MTV Tr3’s Free Latin Music

After many years of touring and more than 300 live performances to their name, the multinational and musically diverse band Bachaco, garnered MTV Tr3s’ attention. Their song, “Cumbia Pa’ La Nena” is currently featured on the MTV Tr3s’ Free Latin Music promotion. The band will continue to tour in support of their self-titled debut album for the rest of the year.

Bachaco is a six-piece that fuses reggae, dancehall and cumbia with elements of ska and hip-hop into a multicultural music explosion. Founded in 2007 by brothers Edilberto and Jose Morillo, the band has members from Jamaica, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Peru that have spread their contagious rhythms all the way from Argentina to Canada. The Miami-based band has performed live more than 300 times and has showcased at South by Southwest, Latin Music Miami Beach Half Marathon and the Latin Alternative Music Conference.

The band’s bilingual and infectious lyrics have received MTV Tr3s‘ attention. The song “Cumbia Pa’ La Nena” off their self-titled debut album is part of MTV Tr3s promotion for a limited time that allows free downloads of featured artists’ music. The video of the song has also been well received and has been on rotation on MTV Tr3s and other music video outlets. To finish the year off, Bachaco will continue touring in south Florida in support of their recently released album. Once the new year begins, the band plans to tour nationally and internationally in Latin America.
