[8/14] Preview: Angel y Vimana at La Palapa

Tonight, La Palapa welcomes Angel y Vimana to the stage.  The charismatic, fun-loving group will bring their unique, rhythmic sound and fresh take on Tejano to the northeast Austin hotspot most famous for its karaoke nights.

Led by vocalist and songwriter Angel Gonzalez, the group has worked hard to establish a fan base around Central Texas and beyond. Gonzalez, who is equally adept at freestyle, brings a different kind of flavor to the music, creating a Tejano sound with Vimana reminiscent of the pop-flavored cumbias made famous by Selena. The group’s first CD, Sin Limites, is available now.

Long story short: This is a fun group who loves to perform and has a ton of talent. Nothing but good times!
