It will be a rare treat for Latin Alternative fans as the Clandestino All-Stars bring the spirit of Manu Chao to life (he’s still alive, don’t worry) by performing his classic album Clandestino in its entirety.

Clandestino All-Stars are an all-star group featuring members of Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, Master Blaster Sound System and a few other bands. They made their debut at Mohawk in May with many left wanting more.

Money Chicha are composed of members from Grupo Fantasma and Brownout. Their music pays homage to the musical and cultural movement of the ’60s and ’70s found in Peru and Colombia, incorporating the psychedelic sounds of guitars, fuzz, and reverb with heavy percussion. If you’ve never heard chicha music live, Money Chicha is a good place to start.
