[6/27] Preview: Los Fantasticos at the Austin Country Flea Market

Los FantasticosSaturday afternoon June 27, Los Fantasticos return for their monthly Saturday residency to the Austin Country Flea Market. Visitors to the pulga in eastern Travis County will be in for an afternoon of great music and family-friendly entertainment courtesy of the family band.

Originally formed over a decade ago, Los Fantasticos have played a variety of venues and events all over central Texas and beyond, including the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair in San Antonio. The current lineup includes Johnny Garza (guitar, lead vocals), his sons John “Guero” Garza (keyboards and accordion, also with Angel y Vimana) and David Garza (drums), along with Sam Sambrano (bass) and Jordan Montez (second guitar). Their sound is eclectic and the set list usually includes everything from Norteño, conjunto, Tejano, country, rock and oldies.

Long story short: This is a fun band with a lot of talent, heart and charisma. A great fit for a sunny afternoon out with the family with popcorn, beer, funnel cakes, and a sizable dance floor.

The Austin Country Flea Market is located on the westbound side of Highway 290 between Springdale and Johnny Morris Road in northeast Austin. There is no additional cover charge and admission is included with the super-cheap $2 parking fee. All ages are welcome. Music is scheduled from 12:30 to 6 p.m.
