[10/12] Preview: Yayo Castillo y Rumores at Texas Mist

Saturday, Oct. 12, Tejano returns to Texas Mist with Austin favorites Yayo Castillo y Rumores.

Rumores has been a fixture in the Austin Tejano music scene for decades, playing at countless venues, festivals, jamaicas, and private parties. Bandleader and lead vocalist Yayo Castillo is known for his strong, smooth voice and showmanship. Along with longtime band members Ignacio “Iceman” Castillo  (saxophone/vocals) and David Guzman (guitar), Rumores is a tight, talented group that always puts on a great show.

Long story short: Texas Mist is a great place for Tejano, and Rumores will pack that big dancefloor with every song in the set.

Texas Mist is located at 1115 Bastrop Highway, off the northbound side of Highway 183, just north of Hwy 71, in southeast Austin. The cover charge is $5 and doors open at 8 p.m.  21+ are welcome. View the Facebook event page here.
