The Flamingo Cantina is going hard for Dia de los Muertos this weekend with two days of Latin music concerts. For day two on Friday, November 2, an all Texas lineup of vatos rudos takes over. The incredible Los Skarnales will be joined by two up-and-comers from San Antonio for one night of good times and pendejadas.

Openers Mariachis Del Infierno (MDI) combine traditional psychobilly sounds with an intense Latino twist. Formed in 2006, the San Antonio-based band are one of the most intense and original bands we’ve heard. MDI is composed of Al Infierno vocals, Mack Black on guitar/backing vocals, Rockaway Rick on drums and Go Joe GodFree on upright bass.

Also on the bill are San Antonio-based punkeros Los De Esta Noche (The Ones From Tonight). Their sound is a fusion of punk, ranchera, cumbia, reggae and rock. Throw an accordion in the mix and that’s Los De Esta Noche.

Headliners Los Skarnales come to us from Houston to return to their Austin home at Flamingo Cantina for what should be another rowdy live show. Their unique brand of ska fuses together elements of cumbia, punk, rockabilly and barrio swing. They are arguably the best Latin ska band this side of Maldita Vecindad. Be ready to stay late and dance all night.
