Royal Highness is collaboration between Peligrosa DJ King Louie (Luis Espada) and Corpus Christie producer Principe CU (Svani Quintanilla- Selena’s nephew). The two met through a mutual friend down in Corpus Christie, DJ Dus, also of Peligrosa fame. Though the two have opposite personalities, King Louie being the outgoing one, they meshed to form the hottest new duo in the barriotech world. Together the two incorporate trap beats (repetitive high hats and snares with bass) with crunked out cumbia screwed down.

The duo released their debut EP on October 1, appropriately titled Screwmbia EP. The EP includes seven hot tracks that could only come from Texas-based Latinos and features a guest appearance from rapper Chingo Bling. Listen all the way through to track 6 and hear “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” like never before.

Royal Highness is celebrating the release of Screwmbia EP on Saturday, October 6, at Plush. Joining the celebration will be Austin-based DJ Kid Slyce and people from the Keep It Local collective.
