The 30-mile train route Pedro Canale rode on his way to the Zizek Club in Buenos Aires inspired him to become Chancha Via Circuito. The Argentinean disk jockey gives Latin rhythms a modern edge strong enough to play at a dance club. He has traveled up through South America into Mexico, America and Canada to spread his beats.
Chancha Via Circuito’s newest album, Río Arriba, will be available, digitally and on CD, Tuesday. Crosstalk International and ZZK Records will also release his second album on a special edition double vinyl record. While his first album, Rodante, focused on Cumbias, Río Arriba highlights Latin American folk music. Starting April, Chancha Via Circuito will begin touring with DJ El G across America and will make a stop in Austin.
