What started as a percussion ensemble in Richmond, Virginia, 20 years ago eventually became Bio Ritmo. The 10-piece band was created by two misplaced Puerto Rican’s who met in art school and a punk rock drummer. The music style the trio founded is far from the typical salsa music heard; yet their indie style salsa music just works.
Bio Ritmo has released a remix for “Dina’s Mambo” by E’s E of Names You Can Trust. The track appears on the band’s latest and first-full length album, La Verdad. The album, released by Electric Cowbell Records and distributed by the hip-hop store/label Fat Beats, is now available. Aside from the new remix, the band will also be touring in Virginia and New York.
